Okay so Saturday..I had like, 3 birthday parties to attend =_= Then today, I went to eat at Thai Garden with my fam after watching the NBA playoffs ._. Sad LA lost but they'll come back in home court! =D So here's a debriefing of Saturday:
Lunch: All-You-Can-Eat @ Kingsway Sushi [12-2PM]
WOW. All you can eat Japanese overload much?! Crazyyyyyy! It was a birthday party for these two little cute kiddies. Two sisters, one turned 6 and the other turned 4. SOOO cute! x) Their birthday cake was to die for. The parents got it from this cupcake place so yeah. Cream cheese frosting in between and a perfect buttercream frosting. Normally, I hate buttercream icing/frosting cause it's too heavy and think and just gross =/ But this time, it was perrrrrrfect!
Dinner: Home party @ Surrey [7-8:30PM]
Okay so this one was pretty boring =( I didn't eat that much since I was still so full from the day before AND lunch @_@ Also, I wasn't too fond of their family because they kinda seem nosy to me =/ I just really wanted to get out. Luckily, my youth fam bam saved me just in time! Thanks to my dad for being so nice about it =)
Late night: Home party @ Langley [9:30-11:30PM]
One of my youth fam had her birthday last week and we went to her house and celebrated along with her family. We were pretty late but we still managed to be there and not be TOO late. We bought 20 ice cream sandwiches and 20 candles and then we stacked them in a pyramid of 6,5,4,3,2 and yeah. Douche cake apparently o_O But yeah, it was fun =)
Late LAATE night: Boston Pizza's @ Surrey [11:30PM-1:15PM]
We left her house with everyone that came and met up with this other guy at BP's. Apparently, he was really hungry so yeah. Not many people ate. L beside me bought some Pizza Bread. C to L's right bought some NY style cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Yum yum. Had a bite of it =P Then N (the hungry guy) had some Chicken Thai Bites and some pasta dish. RdC had something...totally didn't pay attention and then R had some Apple Crisp dessert. Anyway, while they were eating, W and I were playing Jenga. It got pretty heated. Like, we had 4 or 5 single blocks in a row n_n It was funny too cause I used my long nails to hammer at some blocks wahahhahaha. Then it fell on him. We played again with 3 people this time and the tower collapsed on W. H and I won =D
And yeah. C drove me home. Poor dude was so tired that he wasn't tired at all @_@; I owe him big time. In any case, I'll give profiles of my friends in a post sooner or later =) They're all very cool people!

So my school is gay. I need Calculus 12 to get into UofT Commerce but my school doesn't offer it. I don't want to learn from the internet. Fuck that. I might be forced to take History 12 but then I really do need Calculus 12 cause it might be a requirement for some Commerce courses. FUCK. D:
In other news...I feel happy. I'm really dedicated to learning how to play basketball well that I did some drills at 11:20-11:50 xD That and we have practice tomorrow and I'd like to get more stamina just so I don't fall behind TOO much. I don't have P.E. so yeah.. Not very fit =/
Who knew planning a big party would be such a hassle -_- Gotta figure out... venue, guest list, program, invitations, give-aways, food, guests, specific special guests, special performances, AV equipment and worst of all, BUDGET.!!
Still not finished cleaning my room. =_=
My aunt from Japan came today! She brought back tons of Japanese food stuffs n_n Yummmmmmmmmy. And I got a new wallet. I have like..4 new un-used wallets. I had 5 but gave one away. My current one is still in really good condition so I don't see the need to replace it >_< So DON'T give me wallets as presents UNLESS there's dollar bills in there in increments bigger than $20 ;)
Should I tell my mom that I'm in love but not necessarily have a boyfriend? She asked me over the phone earlier. I feel like I should just cause I never talk to her about boy issues and it's like a normal mom thing to do..y'know?

So this update is all about....FOOD! Japanese food to be exact. I did say I'll do posts on food from my description *points up top* And here goes.
Today, I'll be talking about my long over-due blog post about Japanese food XD; Since my cousin came back from Japan in April, or May, she brought back some yummy instant stuff hah.
Here's a picture of our Japanese instead food cupboard before her arrival.

The stuff that we got. I X'd out what we already ate.

This next section are my creations. It's a simple Japanese meal that can be cooked by ANYBODY :D
First up is Miso Soup:

Quite easy really. All you do is boil a pot of water and for every small packet of miso, you put in one packet of dashi!
I used one packet from this box:

And a packet of this:

Next up is Onigiri! Or Rice Balls.

All I did is cooked some rice. Then you need to have 2 bowls with you. One bowl is filled with water and salt. The other bowl is for where you put your chunk of rice. So this is how it goes:
Scoop out some rice to your desired size.
Wet your hands with the water and salt mixture.
Take the rice into your hands and start shaping it to whatever shape you want.
Then you're done!
You can add furikake (dried up vegetables. it's the colourful stuff you can see in my rice balls. and it comes in packets or little bottles) to your rice balls or put stuff in the middle like corned beef, canned tuna, preserved plum or whatever else you want. You could also cover it with seaweed or cover just a bit. Be creative! ^_^
And the main course is Chicken Karaage. It's really yummy hehe.
So I marinaded the chicken wings overnight. Two parts cooking wine to one part soy sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste and you NEED ginger juice. I kind of just eye-balled all these so you might have to as well. I didn't use that much ginger juice though but you realllly need it.
Wash the chicken and then put it in a biiig Ziploc bag with the marinade inside and leave it in your fridge overnight. Then it'll come out like this!

Then you need two bowls. Fill one bowl with alot of cornstarch and dust the surface of the other bowl with cornstarch as well. See, like so:

And then you need to have a small pot ready. It needs to be filled with oil halfway through and must be very hot. I suggest you set this up before you take the chicken out of the fridge so it's really hot by the time you put your chicken in. After you put your marinaded then coated chicken in the pot of super hot oil, take the heat down to medium. This allows the inside of the chicken to be cooked while not burning the outside.

You have to poke it halfway through to let some oil in to help cook it inside as well. And don't forget to turn the chicken over!
Then after all this hard work, you get chicken karaage! Yum yum yum.

I hope you guys enjoyed this insanely long post -_-; But yeah. :) Comment and share your experiences!
